01. Low melt index block copolymer PP (melt index between 1-3)
The shape is irregular round, and the Rockwell hardness is 75. It is made by adding a small amount of polyethylene in the homopolymerization process of petrochemical plants. Features: Reduce the hardness of homopolymer and increase the flexibility of polyethylene. The hardness is worse than that of homopolymerization, better than that of polyethylene, and the toughness is better than that of homopolymerization and worse than that of polyethylene. Homopolymerization is transparent, while copolymerization is milky white.
Processing methods and uses are:
Injection molding: battery shells, baby carriage parts, floor tile molds, turnover boxes, paint buckets, crates, etc.
Extrusion: pipes, various sheets, sheets, such as hollow boards, etc.
02. Medium melt index block copolymer PP (melt index between 15-17)
Milky white cylindrical particles with a Rockwell hardness of about 80, with good strength, wear resistance, impact resistance and other properties, good stress crack resistance, excellent chemical stability and insulation, and good heat resistance.
Processing method: injection molding.
Main uses: battery shell, baby carriage parts, small washing machine inner barrel.
03. High melt index block copolymer PP (The melt index is above 18, the most common, and the maximum dosage is between 25-30)
Milky white irregular particles with a Rockwell hardness of about 85, with high impact, high fluidity and high rigidity.
The processing method is: injection molding.
Main uses: washing machine inner barrel and shell, bathtub, electrical parts, household utensils, injection parts of car bumpers, car panels. Impact resistance, low density, colorability and processability make it an ideal material.
04. Random copolymer PP
Random copolymer polypropylene: the color is transparent, the shape is irregular and round, and it has excellent properties such as good transparency, high gloss, white and clean color, chip resistance, high temperature resistance, good rigidity, good humidity and odor.
Processing method and use:
Blow molding (melting fingers below 3): small hollow plastic bottles, etc.
Injection molding: stationery, household items, boxes in microwave ovens, highly transparent containers, disposable syringes, etc. The basic structure of its polymer chain is modified by adding different kinds of monomer molecules. Ethylene is the most commonly used monomer, which causes changes in the physical properties of polypropylene.
Compared to PP homopolymers, random copolymers have improved optical properties (increased clarity and reduced haze), improved impact resistance, increased flexibility, and reduced melting temperature, which in turn also reduces thermal fusion temperature . At the same time, it is basically the same as the homopolymer in terms of chemical stability, water vapor barrier properties and organoleptic properties (low odor and taste). Used in blow molding, injection molding, film and sheet extrusion processing, as food packaging materials, medical packaging materials and daily consumer goods. Random copolymers are more flexible and less rigid than PP homopolymers.
05. Drawing grade homopolymer PP
Translucent irregular cylindrical particles with a Rockwell hardness of about 100 and a melt index of 2-4. It is the hardest material in PP and PE, close to ABS and PS. Because of its good rigidity, it is used wide range.
Processing method and use:
Drawing: flat wire, fiber, woven bag, rope, etc.
Injection molding: TV accessories, radio casings, electrical insulation materials.
Blown film: packaging single-item stretch film, etc.
Modification: reinforcement, flame retardant, filling, etc.
Extrusion: packing tape, sheet, etc.
06. Injection grade homopolymer PP
Translucent, good processing stability, high-strength injection molding, melt index above 10, because of its good fluidity and rigidity, it can be used for medium and large household items, home appliance accessories, etc.
Processing method: injection molding.
Main uses: hard packaging, household appliances and accessories such as sealed storage boxes, water dispenser housings, etc.
07. Film grade homopolymer PP
Good gloss and transparency. The texture is hard and smooth, and the melt index is between 7-14.
Processing methods and uses: CPP (cast film); BOPP (biaxially stretched film): food flexible packaging film, etc.; IPP (uniaxially stretched transparent film): cigarette, candy packaging film, etc.
08. Fiber grade homopolymer PP
Translucent particles, good fluidity, melt index of 15-40, can partially replace injection molding grade, but hard and brittle.
Processing method: chemical fiber staple fiber; main use: extrusion monofilament, low denier fiber, non-woven fabric, staple fiber (including clothing, diapers, non-woven fabrics).
09. Coating grade homopolymer PP
Translucent particles with high melt flow index and good fluidity generally above 20. It is a special resin for polypropylene textile coating, with uniform coating film and good peel strength.
Processing method: coating; main use: plastic coating, low-grade cement bags, etc.
10. Homopolymer PP powder
White fine particles, without antioxidants, are the predecessor of granular polypropylene, suitable for drawing and injection molding products. Because there is no antioxidant powder, it is easy to change color and agglomerate, and the shelf life is less than half a year. If expired, the product made of powder will become hard and brittle.
Main use: Powder can be divided into high-efficiency catalyst powder (can also be used for injection molding products) and low-efficiency catalyst powder (because the mold will corrode during injection molding, which will affect the gloss of the product, so it can only be used as low-grade cement. bags, woven bags and modified products).
According to the melt index, it can be divided into: 045 powder (melting index between 2-6, wire drawing): cement bag, woven bag, chemical fiber polypropylene yarn, woven belt; E140 powder (melting index between 8-17) Injection molding: medium and large daily necessities, etc.
